  1. Purpose of <<UFONET>>:

  4.         <<UFONET>> is a 100% dedicated, computer-linked information
  5. network. It is a loose organization of Computer Bulletin Board Systems
  6. hooked electronically via the Fidonet BBS network. Although we are
  7. currently in our infancy, we hope to soon have <<UFONET>> affiliated
  8. nodes in most of the major metropolitan areas and regions of North
  9. America, including eventually several overseas Nodes. The plans are
  10. ambitious, and our rules and organization is modest so as to help
  11. facilitate the realization of this goal.
  12.         
  13.         Our purpose is to act as unbiased forum for the exchange and
  14. dissemination of some of the latest and most current information in
  15. the field of "UFOlogy". We do not have an editorial policy, and pride
  16. ourselves on our objective approach. In addition to trying to be a
  17. conduit for some of the latest information available on UFO sightings
  18. and developments, we also have an extensive on-line file library which
  19. acts as a resource on past and present information regarding UFOs.

  21.         If you are interested in learning more, and contributing to
  22. the discussion, then I welcome your participation. Though before you
